Description
As a team member you will play an intricate role in providing high-quality holistic care, helping to shape the lives of children with intellectual disabilities and or autism.
As part of the care team, you will support creating a loving, family-oriented home-from-home environment where our children can feel safe, supported, loved, and, importantly, have fun.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supporting children with Intellectual disabilities
- Providing Holistic Care
- Have a good knowledge of the individual needs of the children and young people
- To support and encourage children and young people to participate and benefit from various recreational and leisure activities within and outside the home.
- To promote positive behavioural support for our children and young people helping them to become socially aware
- Carrying out physical intervention training
- To provide the children and young people with a caring and responsible role model, establishing positive relationships
- Delivering care that supports and promotes each child or young person to develop appropriate independent life skills.
- To understand and administer care concerning the 9 Quality standards defined in the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 201
- To maintain the recording systems within the home for each child or young person, ensuring accurate records, implementing care plans and the provisions of any reports required.
There is a rota for the with 2 weeks at 37.5 hrs pw and the third week working 22.5 hrs
Salary:
£15.50 per hour

Experience:
Residential Childcare: 2 years (preferred)
Support Environment: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- NVQ Level 3 children and young adults (required)
