We are currently looking for a
Cellar Person to play a pivotal role in the Front of House operation, to ensure the smooth running of the cellar and Food and Beverage offering, and oversee a consistent and effective stock control.

They will ensure stock levels are maintained effectively and that stock is managed correctly with mínimal wastage and discrepancies
at our wonderful
Ambassadors Theatre.

The Ambassadors is a beautifully intimate playhouse which will re-open at the end of August 2023 after the second phase of a refurbishment, and has an exciting and diverse schedule of programming.

Turning over shows on average every three months, we welcome a fantastic variety of productions, from comedy to world premieres of plays staring A-list casts.

On our return, we are looking forward to welcoming the revival of
Noël Coward's classic comedy
Private Lives starring
Nigel Havers (_Chariots of Fire; Finding Alice_) and
Patricia Hodge (_Miranda; All Creatures Great and Small_)
until November, followed by the world premiere of a major new play by
Paul Unwin (co-creator of the world's longest running medical drama _Casualty_),
The Enfield Haunting,
until March 2024, starring
Catherine Tate (_Doctor Who; Queen of Oz_) and
David Threlfall (_Shameless_; _Funny Woman_).

Some Key responsibilities include:

To ensure all venue bars and sales points are fully stocked every day, working with the Theatre Management and Customer Experience Supervisors to implement any change in stock levels if needed.
To complete a stock take each Monday and ensure correct stocking procedures are fulfilled and adhered to, and to investigate any discrepancies alongside Theatre Management.
To work with external auditors to implement stocking procedures.
To ensure stock is regularly rotated and the earliest dated items are sold first. Plenty of prior warning should be given to the Customer Experience Manager of stock that has the potential to go out of date and all product expiry dates should be checked on delivery.
To report any wastage from damaged or lost stock and implement measures, where possible, to prevent a reoccurrence.
To accurately check all deliveries on arrival and only sign for the delivery once the necessary checks are completed. Ensure a credit note will be issued for any damaged or missing products on the delivery note.
To ensure all stock is stored at the correct temperature, checking packaging instructions where necessary, and following the venue's RMS Risk Policies and Procedures.
To ensure all stock is stored safely with no potential risk of falling on or hurting anyone that may come into contact with it.
To keep all stock cupboards, fridges, freezers and cellars tidy and locked / securely closed.
To place orders to meet the needs of the venue, ensuring they are approved by Theatre Management with a purchase order number provided. To maintain a clear understanding of the venue needs so as not to over or under order products.
