Our client is looking for an experienced Finance Officer.
- To deliver work with residents in a range of community settings and call handling location based on an agreed rota which supports residents from fully supported need to self-reliance
- To support the work of other officers in the team and wider Multi-disciplinary team to provide support and intervention to residents facing a wide range of issues including problems with financial/household finance, access to benefits, housing, relationships with others, their safety, financial security and health determinants such as poverty
- Provide sign posting, mediated support and targeted advice and guidance to residents which promotes their independence and self-reliance
- Work with the Community and Voluntary Sector and partners to ensure services to residents are delivered in a holistic, customer focused way using the Strengths Based Approach in all conversations and solution provision.
- Work with individuals or families who have limited self-sufficiency / resilience in areas from example low skills, unemployment, poor health, poor housing conditions, potential homelessness, family breakdown, domestic violence, substance dependency, educational attainment and literacy amongst others
- To support and then adopt/design new ways of working and work in a flexible way across a range of areas as directed by the Change /Customer Experience function
- Experience of managing, supporting and developing a resident's pathway to self-reliance within a front-line service context
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of the solutions available to the resident affecting the financial resilience of the resident
- Experience of providing advice and guidance on vulnerable individuals and families
- Experience of working within a performance management framework
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to motivate and lead others
- A successful record of engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to peer to peer performance manage each other, motivate each other and provide excellent 'side by side' relationships with residents
- Ability to respond to challenging situations in a calm and confident away
- Ability to work effectively and build relationships with external partners and ensure that pathways and processes are adhered to and adjusted accordingly
- Good working knowledge of IT systems and the ability to use the information available to support decision making by or on behalf of residents
- Experience of working with a range of partner organisations in successfully delivering services, including Council services, the voluntary and community sector and health and statutory partners
- Excellent organisations skills and the ability to effectively prioritise within a challenging environment
- Experience of working with people from a diverse background in a demanding front line service environment
- Experience of providing outcome focused support to individuals and families
- Ability to understand the needs of customers and a diverse community and a commitment to securing the best possible outcomes for them
- Ability to identify opportunities and initiatives to develop and enhance the operational aspects of the Community Hubs and make suggestions to the service's management team on improvement opportunities
- Proven ability to proactively work flexibly on own initiatives under pressure and to tight timescales across different channels
