About the role:


From September we are looking to expand our current opening days from 6 days per week from 9.30 to 5.30 to include Sundays and some evenings.

This development will demand extra cover as part of our Facilities team and we are looking to recruit individuals with an interest and skills in the area of facilities support, caretaking and general maintenance.


The Facilities officers role is key to the reputation and maintenance of Twinkle House and the assurance we can provide to all our customers, users and partners who come to use and access all our rooms and hydrotherapy pool.

Training for the maintenance of the Hydro pool will be provided


The role of Facilities officer at Twinkle House has various elements but core to the daily duties of the facilties officers is to maintain our extensively used hyrdropool ensuring it is maintained in all aspects of its daily use.

Our hydrotherapy pool and pool suite is fully accessible through a battery operated hoist. Other primary duties also includes the oversight of all our rooms to ensure they are ready for continual use throughout the day by following cleaning guidelines after each session, working closely with our reception staff to monitor the needs and requirements of each group coming to use Twinkle House and to help set up and prepare rooms for larger groups in our studio


Desirable Requirements

  • Experience of pool maintenance would be an advantage in this role
  • Basic DIY skills and understanding of maintenance procedures

Daily Tasks include:


  • Customer service skills for positive dealings with the public and contractors.
  • Cleaning all the rooms throughout the building during opening hours in preparation of each group booking
  • The Facilties officers maintain regular visuals throughout the day regarding the hydrotherapy pool for any anomalies, leaks or potential problems with pumps and the Heatstar unit that maintains the heat and management of the hydrotherapy pool.

You will work closely and be accountable to Senior Management in relation to:Inspecting the building, including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order

Providing senior management with regular updates regarding emergent issues relating to the building

Working closely within the facilities and reception teams this role has direct responsibility to oversee all regular maintenance contractors to ensure that all yearly, 6 monthly or monthly site visits are monitored, scheduled to provide notice and planning with both management and reception.


  • Monitoring all equipment used regularly throughout the building and alerting Senior Management when repairs or renewals are necessary

Other duties include:Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required

Monitoring cleaning materials, tools, and furniture and reordering as required
Opening & locking up of building at the start & end of the day and locking all doors and windows when not in operation
Adhering to the company's safety policies to create a safe working environment for everyone
Problem-solving skills for addressing safety and maintenance concerns
Organisation, multi-tasking and scheduling skills
Open to take on adhoc tasks as needs of the business requires.
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
