About the role


Coherent Scotland is looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our Materials department in the Stores area during the exciting and busy period of our business growth.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving goods and checking the correct quantity with the correct product number.
  • Storing parts into the correct location.
  • Picking parts with high accuracy and in fast pace within a very busy and dynamic environment.
  • Initiating stock investigations and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Participating in weekly stock counts with great attention to detail.
  • Sustaining the 5S and safety principles in the workplace through relentless drive for Continuous Improvement.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Good knowledge of and solid experience in warehouse environment.
  • Good understanding of inventory control processes.
  • Good Microsoft Excel and Outlook knowledge is highly advantageous.
  • Experience of using and performing transactions with Oracle or similar MRP systems is an advantage.
  • Collaborative and supportive to internal customers (Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing and R&D).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Working confidently on your own initiative but also as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and thorough approach to tasks.
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a busy and dynamic environment.
  • Availability for shift work and flexibility for overtime work are required.
  • Reach Truck Forklift experience and undertaken aviation security training would be an advantage.
