What we expect:


The position of Warehouse assistant reports to the Warehouse Manager and primarily responsible for supporting the Supply Chain process in ensuring Orders are picked and dispatched in a timely manner and receipting of goods, materials, components, are receipted, booked in, and located in to meets the operational needs of the business, paying particular attention to detail to quality, accuracy and delivery and TK Elevators ensuring all is done safely in line with procedures, practices and governance.


  • Support the Warehouse Manager in the delivery of agreed strategic objectives in line with the Supply Chain Strategy to promote and drive continues improvement and efficiencies.
  • Work closely with Buy and Support team to ensure stock levels and integrity is maintained and all goods receipted match the original purchase orders and any discrepancies are reported and resolved, swiftly.
  • Preshift checks must be carried out prior to the use of any MHE, any defects or issues must be recorded and report immediately to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Ensure all order are picked accurately, consolidated and packed neatly and securely, to aid with the reduction in the consumables and logistic costs.
  • Ensure consistent warehouse procedures and processes are always undertaken and adhered to.
  • Communicate with internal colleagues to ensure they are kept appraised of the status of their requests and orders.
  • Undertake regular weekly cycle inventory counts, to maintain and manage stock integrity
    .
  • Analyse of inventory data regularly, to maintain accurate inventory level, any low levels items are reordered through the Buy and Support Team to avoid Out of inventory items causing machine downtime.
  • To safely operate and manoeuvre palletised inventory from loading and unloading vehicles and pallet racking by use of MHE forklift trucks.
  • All work tasks should be planned, Prioritise and carried out and completed in a safe and timely manner.
  • Must adapt and undertake a SMART working ethics in approaching all tasks to clean as you work, keeping on top of the house keeping throughout the warehouse and yard areas and remaining organised and creative at all times.
  • Site security, damage or hazards must be reported to the Warehouse Manager, upon finding dangerous hazards, these must be isolated straight away in a safe manageable manner to minimise any further harm from occurring.
  • A flexible approach may be required where work may be needed to be undertaken in other departments, areas or at another site.

Essential Professional Qualities

  • Proven experience of working within a warehouse.
  • A good understanding of warehouse practices and processes.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience operating Counter balance and Reach forklift trucks.
  • Hands on experience in using MS Office, databases, and inventory systems.
  • Good level of communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organisational and time management skills.

Desirable qualities

  • Experience working with Navision or a similar inventory management system.
  • Strong competitor with the highest personal demands and
  • Resilient and remains positive to change within a company.
  • Experience with warehouse location moves
