WHAT TO EXPECT
We are actively in pursuit of an accomplished Product Owner poised to play a pivotal role in advancing our Wheels and Tyres realm.
Your mission? To guide and support the squad members whilst ensuring that their output is aligned and compatible with the wider business.
The members of this squad are component engineers releasing wheels, tyres, puncture management solutions and elements of the tyre pressure monitoring system for a specific platform or architecture.
As a Product Owner, you will be leading the squad on a daily basis with close support from the Scrum Master.
You will be reporting into the Chapter Lead - On Cycle System Engineering in Steering, Wheels and Tyres.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Communicate the squad purpose and vision and align this with the priorities of the group
- Create or support the creation of plans for Quarterly Business Reviews and individual sprints (using Jira)
- Ensure that all wheels, tyres and associated components are released according to the programme timeframe
- Ensure that all design validation from the squad progresses to plan
- Ensure that all launch, production run up and production signoff activities from the squad progress to plan
- Set squad priorities and regulate squad member workload
- Identify and document blockers, risks and impediments. Resolve these where possible or facilitate resolution by the wider business, e.g. work with advanced manufacturing engineering
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Working knowledge of the main technologies for wheels, tyres and puncture management in the premium segment
- Experience leading a diverse team including issue resolution and presentation of the team's achievements to all levels
- Experienced user of project management frameworks (preferably Agile). Simultaneously able to define short term tasks whilst controlling long term direction. Proactive in avoiding common project management pitfalls
- Experience of design validation planning
- Experience of supplier management and working with a purchasing business partner for new product delivery into high volume production
