Senior Credit Controller | £27,000 - £35,000 | Bolton + Hybrid | Fast-growing, PE-backed business | Great team and working culture


Axon Moore are partnering a rapidly-growing, PE-backed organisation in Bolton as they recruit for a Senior Credit Controller capable of reviewing processes and implementing improvements within the Credit Control function.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Undertake a review of the credit control function, and implementing agreed improvements to processes and controls
  • Evaluate the credit status of the debtor's ledger
  • Conduct negotiations with customers to set terms and conditions for payment of receivables
  • Ensure daily cash and debtor targets are met
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure good management of debt
  • Review and implement revised compliance to standard policies and regulations
  • Maintain effective and accurate records of customers' accounts and purchasing activities
  • Monitor payment history to identify changes in reparation and take necessary actions
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of debtor ledger accounts
  • Ensure prompt reply to client and internal feedback
  • Commence legal action where necessary

Required Skills and Experience:


  • Proven experience as a Credit Controller
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Credit Control systems and processes
  • Good IT and MS Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of Sage 200 (desired)
  • Knowledge of Sage Job Costing or knowledge of contract costing
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within timescales and to deadlines
  • Efficient and methodical approach to time and task management
