Working with the people of Liverpool to improve lives and support communities is at the heart of why we were founded and why we exist today.

We are now looking to appoint a Principal Teaching Fellow in Psychology.

This post is a strategic leadership role and provides an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and motivated team at a significant time of growth for the School of Psychology and the Faculty of Health.

It involves line management of a small group of academic staff and offers the opportunity to provide academic leadership in the design and delivery of high-quality programmes of study.

We will consider applicants with expertise in any core area of psychology. We are interested in attracting enthusiastic and committed individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skill to join our team. Importantly, you should be dedicated to providing an outstanding student experience.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to teaching on our successful BPS Accredited programmes at undergraduate, Masters level (Forensic and Investigative Psychology, Health Psychology) and Doctoral (Health Psychology) levels depending on their qualifications and experience.

In addition, the School has a MSc in Positive Psychology and Wellbeing and a MSc in Brain and Behaviour.

In return, we offer an excellent benefits package including generous annual leave entitlement, pension scheme, induction, and development support as well as family-friendly policies.

This is an exciting time to join the university as we deliver the LJMU Strategy 2030 and its vision of LJMU as an inclusive civic university transforming lives and futures, by placing students at the heart of everything we do.

If you feel that this is the role you have been looking for and your skills and experience can make a real difference at LJMU, we look forward to hearing from you.
