**Job Purpose
The role of PA to the Bursar and Administrator to the Compliance Manger is to manage and organise
the Bursar's Office, providing a comprehensive range of administrative support to the Bursar and to
work with the Compliance Manager on data protection, committee administration and defined
projects.

The Bursar has responsibility for finance and investment management, the College estate including
provision of student accommodation, IT, Human Resources, legal compliance, conferencing,
catering and the day-to-day administration of the College. The Bursar is also responsible for various
inter-collegiate matters and efficient diary management will be a main focus for the role holder.

The Bursar's management team consists of the: Assistant Bursar, Head of Domestic Operations,
Head of Facilities, HR Manager and Compliance Manager.

The Compliance Manager works closely with the Bursar ensuring the College follows statutory data
protection regulations; acts as Secretary to the Bursar's operational committees; and manages
internal liaison and support for significant College projects. A focus for the role holder will be to
administer data protection tasks and provide support for work arising from the Bursar's committees.

information quickly. You will use your initiative to drive tasks forward, you will be adaptable with
the ability to keep calm under pressure, and you will be able to confidently interact and
communicate with varied stakeholders.

The job-holder will have an important role in the work of the Bursar's office and by working across
the two halves of the role, will be ideally placed within this small team to gain knowledge of the
committee work and projects that the Bursar manages and drive efficiency where the roles overlap.
Time management will be key to the role, as the nature of the roles do not lend themselves to a
strict 50/50 division of time; it is expected the PA role will be part-time over 5 days, responding to
the Bursar's priorities, and the Compliance Administrator role can be flexible and accommodate the
peaks in demand of the PA role. You will be supported across both roles by the Compliance
Manager, who will be your line manager.

Main Duties (Bursar's PA):

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Bursar, acting as primary point of contact,
