South-East London

Part-time, flexible days

Veritas Education are looking to hire proactive and enthusiastic teaching assistants for flexible, ad hoc supply work in the South East London area.

Working as a Teaching Assistant is a great way to gain regular, relaxed work in the education industry.

We are seeking day-to-day (ad-hoc) Primary Teaching Assistants to help support the main class teacher and manage classroom behaviour.

The role of a Teaching Assistant is to assist the learning of students on either a one-to-one basis or in small groups.

A Primary Teaching Assistant will work under the instruction/guidance of a teacher to provide work, care, and support programmes to pupils.

A successful Teaching Assistant will be someone capable of using their initiative, who is able to think creatively and flexibly.

Working as a Teaching Assistant can be incredibly rewarding when you invest the time and energy into drawing the best out ofeach student, helping them to reach their potential whilst making their learning experience enjoyable.

A Teaching Assistant should understand the importance of developing a positive culture within the classroom, acting with patience and sensitivity.

Requirements to join us:

The right to work in the UK
DBS (Refunded DBS once worked a set period)
Overseas police check if applicable
Experience or relevantly degree educated
You must be willing to attend a registration interview

The Location:

Veritas is based in the City of London and we work with about 700 schools throughout the South East.

Our aim is to keep you within a 45 minutes journey from your home.

Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
You must have legal right to work in the UK
You must be willing to attend a registration interview
