Priory Group is one of the UK's leading providers of independent specialist secure and step-down care across the UK.

Located in the historic city of York,
Stockton Hall Hospital is a medium secure 112 bedded unit spanning over 7 wards, caring for people with mental illness, personality disorders and learning disabilities.

The role:

Washing up, cleaning kitchen equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure that all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for upon delivery.
Deliver meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit in a timely and efficient manner.
Adherence to all food safety procedures.
Regularly responds to routine enquiries from colleagues and patients.

Skills and experience:

Previous experience in a similar environment preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment essential.
The jobholder requires basic numeracy and literacy together with an appreciation of basic food hygiene.
Selfmotivating and ability to work under own initiative.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn are more important than experience.

Shift Pattern: 5 days over 7 days working every 3rd weekend - shift times are 6.30 am pm and 10.15 am pm. Weekends

The role holder works within a busy kitchen environment using a variety of equipment where many routine tasks are repetitive and require a degree of sustained physical effort and concentration.
