What will you do:
This role reports to the Senior Trader and is specifically targeted at 'in-play trading' and 'market monitoring' but encompasses all stages of the market life-cycle including quality assurance at each stage of the process in order to maximise revenues and minimise client contacts.
This role will include training and trading of a number of key sports and will provide a platform to explore all of the opportunities the Group has to offer from an entry level position.
Main responsibilities:
- Trade a variety of events across a number of Sports, with a specific focus on high volume trading
- Prepare trading models for inplay events through accurate entry of pricing variables using the underlying market as a basis
- Provide timely manipulation of trading models/platforms and monitoring of market conditions to maintain accurate prematch outputs for both inplay and nonlive events
- Ensure accurate entry of inplay match data for inplay events
- Analyse and record trading performance for future reference and performance management
- Maintain a multitude of databases relating to the relevant sports and competitions
- Have awareness of wholesale client requirements depending on sport/jurisdiction/market liquidity
- Report model/pricing/feed provider issues to Senior Trading team
- Communicate with Front Line Support and Risk departments during trading to ensure accurate and efficient service is provided to all clients
- Gain a basic working knowledge and understanding of all Sporting Group systems and processes to maximise trading efficiency
- Successfully complete all internal and external training courses where applicable

- Willingness to work unsociable hours including evenings and weekends
