We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team of professionals. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' learning, development, and overall well-being. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to create a positive and enriching educational environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide oneonone or small group support to students with varying special needs, including learning disabilities, autism, speech and language difficulties, and more.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet individual student's needs.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active engagement and participation.
  • Collaborate with therapists and specialists to implement individualised education and behaviour plans.
  • Help students with personal care tasks, as needed, while maintaining their dignity and independence.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, behaviors, and achievements, contributing to progress reports and evaluations.
  • Contribute to the creation of visual aids and learning resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Personal care.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably within a SEN school or educational setting is desirable.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with special needs and a strong desire to make a positive impact on their lives.
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills to connect with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to addressing challenges and finding solutions.
  • Basic knowledge of special education techniques, strategies, and resources.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with various professionals.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or special needs support is desirable but not essential.

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
