Strawson Ltd is a third-generation family owned business based in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire growing and packing root vegetables for major retail customers.

We are a strong, professional and open business committed to our customers, staff and care for the environment.

We are seeking to strengthen our team by recruiting an additional 4 Line Leaders to support our Production team.

As a Line Leader at Strawsons, you will be working within the Production Department to ensure smooth and efficient production on the factory floor, as well as being involved in setting up the packing machines.

Recruiting the right people is an integral part of our growth plans. We are a profitable and expanding business that can offer you job security, training and ongoing development.

Responsibilities
Coordinating production line workflow to meet the orders

Planning and prioritising workload to ensure maximum performance and minimum downtime

Overseeing jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget

Addressing issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption to production

Ensuring all related company procedures are adhered to

Keeping relevant paperwork up to date

Proactively support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles

Maintaining a high standard of house keeping (5S)


CORE CAPABILITIES
Must have excellent attention to detail

Good basic IT skills, must be competent in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel

The ability to problem-solve and lead the team

Good communication abilities at all levels

The ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines

Good multi-tasking skills

Confident, professional and tenacious

Ensuring right first time culture


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in a similar role within food production

Good standard of English and Maths

Adaptable and open to experience potential new workplace situations


TRAINING
Continuous support with personal development and training opportunities available


WORKING HOURS
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, overtime available

Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£11.00 per hour
