Description

Our client is a market leader in the Insurance industry based in London looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for leading the projects team in cross-functional IT and business teams with the goal to deliver IT system-related projects on time,within budget, quality and scope.

Projects can range from system selection and replacement of legacy systems including data migration, development of bespoke systems or complex upgrades of existing systems.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Project planning, scheduling, resourcing and dependency management following the approved project management methodology based on PMBOK and agile practices.
  • Creation of project cost estimations and definitions in collaboration with stakeholders and team members.
  • Liaison with and management of suppliers to produce project deliverables.
  • Steering and controlling project costs so that the project can be completed within the approved budget
  • Management of escalations within the team, with the project sponsor and stakeholders.
  • Bespoke software development and system integration, managing the software development cycle in incremental iterations based on agile software development methodology.

Who we're looking for:


  • 35 years of strong experience in project management and successfully delivering critical and complex IT systemrelated projects within financial services.
  • Must have a university degree and/or relevant professional qualification.
  • Qualifications and experience in one or more industryrecognized best practice project management delivery methodologies i.e., PMP, PRINCE 2certified, Agile methodologies (preferable).
  • Experience in agile software development and lifecycle methodologies
  • Deep understanding of operational impacts from business and IT change.
  • Experience in requirements engineering, business analysis and translation of business demands into system specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
