We are looking to recruit a confident, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our forward thinking Respiratory Nursing & Home Oxygen Therapy Service within Primary Care and Community.

Our aim is to be an innovative, responsive, and patient focused service, delivering high quality care.

The Administration Support Officer will work as part of a wider administration and nursing team and alone under the direction and supervision of the Lead Administrator for the service.

The role includes general administration, including the administration of assigned clinics, on-going patient activity management and data collection associated with each stage of the patient's journey.

This will include dealing with queries from patients, Health Care Professionals and other agencies face to face and by telephone.

You will work in an environment in which flexibility and team working are key components.

You should possess good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills together with a willingness to learn and support the progression of new initiatives.

Versatility is important to enable attendance at some daytime meetings and training events.

To support the community respiratory services in all of the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board areas and will be required to travel between sites.

To provide high quality administrative support to a busy team of friendly and experienced multi-disciplinary clinical staff.

  • Be first point of contact via telephone and answer queries.
  • Ordering of stock and ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Processing invoices and ensure they are authorised by appropriate staff.
  • Typing of letters, documents, reports etc.
  • Data input and maintain database regularly.
  • Maintain the current filing system and archiving system.
  • Responsible for arranging meetings, taking minutes and distribution of paperwork.
  • General administrative work such as photocopying and filing.
  • Sorting of incoming and outgoing mail.
Participate in the Health Board's performance review/staff appraisal scheme.
