£23,150 - £23,893 pro rata per annum

We are looking for Cleansing Operatives to join our team in Scarborough.


The role


As our Mobile Cleansing Operative, you will be part of a supportive team responsible for undertaking a wide variety of cleansing functions such as litter picking, emptying of street bins, graffiti removal and cleaning of public conveniences to assist in the cleansing of public and open spaces.

This operation is pivotal to the area by ensuring pavements, public footpaths and pedestrianised areas are effectively and adequately cleansed on a regular basis which promotes cleanliness and a welcoming place for residents, businesses, and visitors to enjoy.


You will also provide support for specific activities such as flood events to effectively distribute sandbags or to search illegally dumped waste to support fly tipping prosecutions.

You will also be trained to work behind a refuse truck, to ensure we can meet operational needs.

You may be required to cover Whitby. Shifts are 5 days per week including 1 weekend day to be worked between 06:00 and 10pm. When working a weekend day, there is an extra payment of £30 per weekend day worked.
