Purpose of position:


A key member of the finance team, assisting senior management in making critical business decisions by analysing and presenting key financial data.

Overseeing accounting procedures and preparing forecasts, budgets and risk analysis. Key relationships, outside the finance function will include departmental managers and the senior management team. The goal is to contribute to the decision-making process of management that will ensure business growth and long-term success.

Salary:
up to£24,000


Hours:
Monday - Friday - 8am - 5pm (with a Hybrid Working Pattern)


Duties

  • Responsibility for a business unit Purchase Ledger (Radius Systems Ltd, Radius Plastics Limited or Radius Subterra Limited).
  • Code, check and register invoices onto Syspro.
  • Obtain approval for invoices in line with approval limits
  • Match invoices where there is a PO to the PO and GRN.
  • Check and reconcile supplier statements.
  • Deal with any purchase ledger enquiries (both internal and external)
  • Suggest Payment Runs obtaining authorisation from Senior Accounts Payable Administrator.
  • Ensure that all accounts are reconciled, and issues resolved.
  • Process staff expenses in line with Company policy.
  • Ensure your own workload is planned and managed effectively.
  • Make an active contribution to the improvement of the department and the organisation.
  • Carry out any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the FC.

Required Knowledge/Skills

  • Experience of working in a fastpaced environment, dealing with a high volume of transactions.
  • Educated to a minimum GCSE Grade C in Maths and English.
  • IT Systems Literate with familiarity with ERP systems and good working knowledge of Microsoft products, specifically Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a calm manner.
  • Selfdisciplined and enthusiastic.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Strong team working skills.
  • The ability to juggle multiple demands to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Analytical mind with aptitude in math.
  • A problemsolver with attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Relevant experience and preferred certification (e.g. AAT).
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator.

Desirable knowledge/skills:


  • Managing/ coaching experience of other team members.
