Commercial Admin Assistant

Reporting to and assisting a Business Manager, your day to day duties will involve:


  • Managing and responding to new enquiries received from suppliers/depots and the sourcing of new products currently unavailable in the existing portfolio
  • Undertaking daily administrative tasks which include responding to sample requests, creation of product codes for new chemicals, coordinating and ensuring the relevant supplier documentation is up to date.
  • Regular liaison and visits to depots to understand the endtoend process and management of central stock from order to delivery, as well as contact with global agents and suppliers
  • Active engagement in at least one business improvement project, along with added involvement in our customer experience programme
  • As part of your development, to become increasingly involved in product marketing and sales activities, which will require customer and supplier visits
  • Supporting the Business Manager and Product Management team with data analysis and supplier reviews.

YOUR PROFILE

  • A strong customer focus and a good level of commercial awareness, coupled with the confidence to deal with effectively with colleagues, depots and suppliers alike
  • The motivation and desire to develop yourself within wellestablished commercial team and contribute to the ongoing success of the business
  • Any relevant experience in a supplier development, sales/commercial or product marketing capacity would also be advantageous
