PE and Sport at Scarisbrick Hall School has undergone significant changes in recent years and the exciting demands of an ever-evolving department now means that the position of a Part Time Lacrosse Coach is required and will be supported by a team of qualified teachers and coaches.

The Lacrosse Coach will be responsible to the Head of Sport.

They will be expected to communicate energy and lead by example and have the skill to innovate and inspire across the whole school netball programme.


To deliver a high-quality lacrosse coaching program at Scarisbrick Hall School, dedicated to improving the technical and tactical abilities of our pupils and developing an enhanced level of performance.

The post holder will deliver lacrosse coaching within our Scarisbrick Hall PE Curriculum.


The Lacrosse Coach will work directly with and be line managed by the Head of Faculty - Sport and PE and Head of Lacrosse.

Main


Responsibilities:


  • Create and implement a highquality coaching program focused on the individual development of our pupils' lacrosse skills.
  • Undertake necessary planning for each activity session to ensure the program demonstrates progression throughout, linked to the principles of longterm success.
  • Attract new participants of all levels and create pathways for continued participation.
  • Ensure all equipment associated with the coaching program is correctly set up, maintained, stored, and returned upon completion of the coaching program.
  • Promote and increase awareness of lacrosse within Scarisbrick Hall School and externally, by exemplifying SHS high standards and outcomes.
  • Implement appropriate health and safety policies and procedures in line with SHS and the relevant National Governing Body policies.
  • Adhere to the Staff Code of Conduct and the relevant National Governing Body Code of Conduct.
  • Provide appropriate mentoring, support, and guidance to other coaches, players, and student volunteers.
  • Continually monitor and evaluate all sessions, activities, and programs, providing the Head of PE and Sport with concise progress reports and training logs linked to agreed work programs.
  • Take responsibility for continuous professional development, attending relevant training courses to improve coaching delivery.
