The Finance team is a team of 9 and comprises: Financial Controller, Senior Management Accountant, 2 x Accounts Assistant, Credit Control Manager, Credit Controller, Assistant management Accountant, Purchase ledger assistant and Payroll Administrator.

You will be based in our our London, West End office.

Main responsibilities

  • Posting of cash and checking for outstanding items on bank reconciliation
  • Phoning clients in relation to receipts and invoices
  • Chasing receipts and posting onto the system
  • Allocating and reconciling transactions
  • Preparing and sending out monthly reports: cashflow, bad debts, unallocated receipts
  • Update bank transactions with bank analysis codes and analyse spend reports
  • Provide cover for purchase ledger and expenses posting during busy periods
  • Update daily and weekly cashflow report
  • Prepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Set up all payments in the banking system, and request relevant authorisations and signatures
  • Process all bank transactions on a daily basis (payments and receipts)
  • Send out daily reports, trial balance and outstanding items in the bank
  • Download daily bank statements
About you

  • 45 years' relevant experience as an Accounts Assistant preferably gained within professional services (but not essential)
  • Accounting qualification (e.g. AAT) desirable but not essential
  • Medium advanced Excel skills
  • Team player with ability to build relationships across the business
  • Flexible attitude and willing to take on tasks outside of the daytoday job as and when required
  • Strong communication skills
