Job Description:

Change Communications Manager | IMMEDIATE START | £350pd Inside IR35 | Contract Role | Up until 31st March | Hybrid Working

My client is an independent body who receives funding from the government, their purpose is to improve organisations and working life through the promotion and facilitation of strong industrial relations practice.

They are currerntly recrutuing for a Change Communications Lead on a contract basis to act as the communications expert across the transition of a new organisation operating model.

This is an immediate hire on a part time basis of 21 hours per week, the contract will run until the end of March the pay rate for this position is £350pd inside IR35.


Main Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to ensure the Directors and their transition leads are supported and guided on individual function communications planning
  • To build a suite of practical tools that Directors and their teams can use to ensure key messages are delivered and consistent across functions.
  • Lead planning and creation of multichannel creative content, cadence and editorial calendar aligned to the programme's timeline and priorities.
  • Create and project manage an organisation comms and engagement plan that will keep colleagues informed and delivers the right messages at the right time to ensure that practical information is given whilst recognising opportunities to drive engagement ofthe organisation into the future model when appropriate.
  • Support the change activities with key messaging, advice and guidance.
  • Provide weekly reporting on organisational comms activities and measures on how messages are landing with colleagues
  • Taking guidance from Heads of Communications and internal communications colleagues to coordinate programme work alongside other internal comms activity
  • Work closely with internal communications colleagues to implement plans effectively
  • Give updates directly to senior leaders / Board on communications progress

Key Skills & Experience:


  • Experience of working on organisation change/transformation communications across a variety of internal audiences
  • Strategic and pragmatic thinker with ability to proactively manage multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines without compromising on quality and attention to detail
  • Ability to combine exceptional attention to detail and organisational project management skills without losing sight of the strategic, big picture narrative and needs of the organisation
  • Strong and persuasive influencer with the credibility to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Strong creative, writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills
  • Keeping calm under pressure with a "can do" proactive attitude and ability to work in a dynamic environment is crucial
  • Understanding of best practices in employee engagement and change communications
  • Experience of advising and equipping others on internal communications
