As a Operational Sourcing Lead, you will have overall responsibility for the supply of goods and services to Howden Compressors in accordance with company procedures and achieving lowest cost consistent with the required quality level and meeting delivery requirements.

What Needs To Be Done?

Lead the operational buyers to identify and select suppliers for the purchase of parts or services achieving lowest cost without comprising delivery and quality.
Constantly improve the process of Managing MRP exception to avoid obsolete material and guarantee the correct material delivery and inventory control.
Responsible for liaising with the Strategic Sourcing team and providing key business requirements, data and feedback in the supplier selection process.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners and suppliers including regular reviews and collaborate with site associates to coordinate production to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
Working with the Procurement Director, responsible for recruitment and development of the Operational Procurement team.
Ensure on time delivery of purchased goods and services by maintaining effective lines of communication with both customers and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with company financial audit and record procedures by maintaining accurate and up to date documentation.
Resolve supply chain delivery issues by maintaining effective lines of communication with suppliers and coordinate improvement projects to improve the on time delivery
Participate in cost reduction projects and achieve savings targets by continually reviewing costs with suppliers
Annual negotiating of pricelist agreements with suppliers
Communicate with suppliers on quality problems in conjunction with the Quality Department and coordinate improvement projects with these suppliers.
Support Lean principles by optimising efficiencies through reduction of costs & improvement of quality and delivery.
Act as procurement representative team member in New Product Development Projects
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards in compliance with company policy to ensure safe working environment
Develop and implement HCO supply base is the rightfit through consolidation and rationalisation of the number of suppliers
To support the Procurement Director to provide monthly reports on Sourcing performance
