Tyne North Training are offering an exciting Business Administration Apprenticeship opportunity

We provide apprenticeships in the Engineering and Business Administration sectors and currently manage around 450 apprentices, working in approximately 150 different employers based in the north east of England, including Newcastle Upon Tyne.


Chirton Engineering have a fantastic opportunity for a aspiring Business Administrator to join them in their energetic and growing team. The Production Administrator's role is to support key production activities and ensure the smooth running of the function while maintaining relationships with the Production Manager, Production Scheduler, Logistics Manager, Team Leaders.

What will I be trained to do?

  • To ensure that all policies and procedures in respect of Security, Health, Safety and Risk are adhered to, in order to provide a safe and secure environment for self, staff and customers.
  • Produce delivery notes and documentation packs.
  • Raise and manage subcontractor purchase orders (including requesting quotes, expediting and booking in, as required).
  • Organise and arrange courier collections. Provide filing and scanning services for the paperwork that is produced by the Production function.
  • Print and wallet job cards. Support the purchase and booking in of tooling.
  • Participate in the concurrent contract review process.
  • Provide information for the compilation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide support to third party visits.
  • POD requests. Raise bung / fixture cards.
  • To work closely with colleagues and participate actively in the wider management team whilst maintaining a good understanding of operational issues in order to support the ongoing success of the business.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities relevant to your role and skill set.

You must have or be working toward a grade 4 (Or C equivalent) in English and Maths. Without this, you are not eligible for an apprenticeship.
