About your new role Our national Real Estate team provides a complete range of legal and advisory services on all aspects of commercial property to an excellent and diverse client base.
This role is an opportunity to join an innovative and high performing, busy team whichoffers substantial client contact. Our focus is on delivering a first class service to our clients.

We advise on a broad range of commercial property, development and regeneration work, landlord and tenant, property management, funding arrangements and corporate support work.

Our clients range from major retailers, leisure operators, national and regionaldevelopers, Registered Providers (including FTSE housebuilders), local authorities, universities, energy and healthcare providers and PLC commercial lenders.

We have been involved in a range of projects from £100 million city centre regeneration schemes tosmaller bespoke ventures.

We are currently recruiting for a Real Estate Solicitor/Associate 2-6 YRS PQE to join our Real Estate team.

The applicant should have a good grounding in general commercial property work and a sound knowledge and experience of commercial leasing, excellenttechnical skills and attention to detail.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Manage own caseload of Real Estate cases
  • Provide support to other members of the team
  • Draft and prepare various real estate documents
  • Liaise with internal and external parties
  • Supervise and develop more junior members of staff as may be required
  • Ensure that work produced is to the highest standard
  • Manage own time effectively
  • Complete MI procedures as and when required
  • Achieve set financial and chargeable targets
  • Ensure relevant deadlines, quality measures and KIPS are adhered to
  • Comply with relevant policies and procedures
  • Work in accordance with Weightmans' values

About You
As the role is varied we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the wok you do and be able to adapt to different tasks.

We also require you to have:

2-6 years PQE experience is preferred

  • Experience of and keen interest in real estate work
  • Familiarity with landlord and tenant and property management work is essential and with retail and leisure clients is an advantage
  • Excellent team work skills
  • Strong academics and technical knowledge
  • Excellent IT and typing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and targets
