What sets XDP aside from other delivery companies is the fact that we operate our own logistics network of over 35 UK overnight parcel depots & 15 2-man delivery depots.

Our 9-acre central distribution site is well positioned in the heart of the Midlands, operating a manual sortation system with a capacity to handle more than 40,000 parcels per night.


  • You'll have an excellent understanding of logistics/freight/parcel/distribution industry, coupled with relevant supervisory experience in managing teams. Direct & Indirect

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities.
  • Ensuring adequate resource is available with our Partners to cover the following days activity
  • Allocating tasks and responsibilities to warehouse staff and drivers to ensure an efficient operation.
  • Experienced in the use of WMS or similar systems.
  • Escalating performance or disciplinary issues to Operations.
  • Supervising, evaluating, and reporting on warehouse productivity.
  • Ensuring all deliveries & collections are achieved.
  • Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
  • Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations, including FLT daily checks etc.
  • Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse facility, identifying, and reporting any damage.
  • Coordinating and maintaining fleets and equipment (Mandatory interval checks etc).
  • Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers when necessary.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
  • Counterbalance / FLT licence preferred.
  • Any other task determined to be in the interests of efficient operation
  • Achieving Depot / Hub objectives in terms of H&S, security, productivity, quality, and cost.
  • Deliver outstanding service to our network of Depots and customers with a team driven to be the best they can be.
  • Provide the safest and healthiest environment in which your teams work.
  • Encourage a competitive environment with clearly set productivity and service level targets for your teams.
  • Maintain a culture of excellence, boosting employee engagement.
  • HSSE and Hygiene accountability for the Depot / Hub, ensuring high standards at all times.
  • Work with internal teams to drive continuous improvement, reduce cost and increase customer service levels.
  • Always maintain exceptional customer service, representing the brand well and developing pride in quality service.
  • Supervision of external subcontracted drivers and support Depot Manager.
  • Handson, hard working with a 'can do' attitude.
