Description

Overview:
Do you want to work for a caring organisation that believes in people but can't commit to a long-term job?

Are you open, bold and compassionate and want to make a difference to people's lives?

As a Sessional Recovery Worker with Change Grow Live you'll work with people with drug and alcohol issues in Stockton, supporting and helping them to overcome their problems and empowering them to get to where they want to be.

Responsibilities:

With this role you'll be working as part of Stockton Recovery Service

Sessional jobs with CGL are perfect for people who have experience within drug and alcohol services who do not want to commit to a long-term role.

Also, if you don't have any work history within the Drug & Alcohol field, a sessional job with CGL is the perfect opportunity for you to start gaining experience and a great way to enhance your CV and work history.

Sessional work with CGL will give you the opportunity to experience a new role without committing to a long-term contract, providing you with the time to consider if this is the right career path for you.

The sessional role will provide the opportunity to learn new skills and develop existing skills and can help you get your foot in the door for other roles within the service.

While there are no guarantees, if you're available to work when the sessional time is over, opportunities may arise to continue employment with us full-time, if that is what you want.

Even if the sessional period doesn't lead to long-term employment, by making new contacts, you will increase your chances of finding a job that isn't sessional somewhere else and have CGL as a reference for this.

Sessional roles at our service will give you the opportunity to work hours that you have free (within the limits of business opening hours) and offer a great rate of pay to supplement your regular wage, or help you boost your income over summer/winter breaks from university.

As a member of staff at Stockton Recovery Service, based in Stockton, you will support a diverse range of people who experience drug and alcohol issues, making a difference to their lives.

Our values are to be open, bold and compassionate and these are key, in addition to being a good communicator and listener.

You must be IT literate and able to record accurate information.

This is how one of our Recovery Workers describes Stockton CGL:

"I like the team spirit, that we all bring something different, and we always put the people who use our service first".
