Purpose of the Role


The Training Coordinator will be responsible for the ongoing, long term improvement of the employees' skills, enabling them to fulfil their potential within the company.

The training Coordinator will be required to be strategic rather than reactive, assessing the skills and knowledge within the company and determining what training is required to grow and retain these skills.


Job Role and Duties

  • Identify training and development needs within the company through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with the business managers and human resources department.
  • Ensure all employees have the correct level of training at the point of induction.
  • Consider the costs of planned programmes and keep within budgets.
  • Support the development of individual learning plans.
  • Apprentice recruitment, management and administration.
  • Manage the delivery of training programmes.
  • Monitor & review the progress of trainees through questionnaires & discussions with managers.
  • Ensure that statutory training requirements are met.
  • Support the line managers and trainers solve specific training problems, either on a onetoone basis or in groups.
  • Manage employee and agency employee training records and develop & maintain the company training matrix.
  • Source relevant funding and manage the apprenticeship levy process.
  • Obtain and process sign off sheets for Works Instructions, Tool Box Talks, COSHH, OPLs, Induction, Competence reports & Certificates.
  • Other Duties at the request of the manager.

  • Very Good MS Office skills.
