The Health, Safety and Business Continuity Compliance Officer helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by ensuring the efficient monitoring of compliance with health, safety, and business continuity policies guidance and procedures.


The role will lead on property and people compliance audits, clearly recording findings and working with key stakeholders to review and agree remedial actions.

For this role you'll be working 35 hours per week, worked 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

We are looking for you to attend the office at least 2/3 days per week, the remainder of your week may be spent working from home.

Essential

  • Practical experience of working in a Health and Safety role.
  • Successful track record of planning and achieving quality outcomes.
  • Practical experience of developing and introducing frameworks and processes.
  • Experience of developing appropriate guidance and implementing robust procedures.
  • Proven IT skills and an experienced user of Microsoft Office software.
  • Up to date knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in the charity sector.
  • Training provision experience.
  • Desire to engage in continuous learning and willingness to obtain other Health and Safety related qualifications.
