Compliance Ecosystem Director - R&D:
- Reporting to the Global R&D Head Operational Excellence and SVP Head Global Quality_
An opportunity to lead the journey to a more connected compliance ecosystem for a FTSE100 FMCG, leveraging across the enterprise technology platforms, data, process and governance both for short-term benefit and long-term strategic direction.
This position assumes responsibility across the organisation to understand, identify, define medium to long term strategy, and then drive a transformation program that strengthens consumer safety and compliance levels, establishing a foundation to unlock ongoingvalue opportunities.
This will include direct management of typical PLM global systems, used across an end-to-end product lifecycle.It will involve a thorough understanding, collaboration, benchmarking and influence of a wide collection of systems/platforms, data flow and processesacross the organisation, mainly in GR&D and Supply.
The position will play a fundamental role in representing the business interests in a wide range of related management forums, partnerships and cross functional initiatives.
- Long term strategy for compliance ecosystem in strong partnership with IT&D and wide collaboration across functions and BUs
- Working with IT&D to establish and implement a long term highlevel ecosystem Strategy and Vision, alongside technology roadmaps and business transformation plans
- Working closely with Data Governance & Analytics stream to ensure robust data management strategy with clear ownership of Functionally owned data
- Continuous improvement through innovative and data driven practices.
- Oversee the longterm business digital capability with compliance and consumer safety as a core
- Establish mechanisms with functions, BUs and IT&D of effective prioritisation
- Own team budget and contribute to functional budget management, including planning, spend and delivery
- Look to simplify, standardise and connect across the compliance ecosystem
- Look to establish logical current and future connections of projects, platforms and investment areas
Experience required:
- Experience in generating a medium to long term years) strategic Plan for corporate PLM transformation
- Proven track record of delivering a full end to end business PLM transformation (across innovation, manufacturing and distribution)
- Detailed knowledge of regulatory, quality and compliance environment within Healthcare and CPG industry
- Demonstrable understanding of an organisations risk profile from a compliance and consumer safety perspective
- Sound understanding of wider R&D and Manufacturing interdependencies/impacts on ensuring safe and compliant products across lifecycle.
- Deep experience, knowledge and appreciation of data standards, governance processes and usage in large enterprises across functions
- Experience of complex technical environments with an eye to long term simplification, connection and leverage
- Broad knowledge of core R&D and Supply operations
