This new and exciting role provides an exceptional opportunity for a forward thinking, enthusiastic and innovative Care Community Admin Support Assistant.


You will have supported at an Admin Support Assistant level before, be friendly, flexible, highly approachable and professional, switched on, able to work to deadlines, a strong team player with great communication skills and able to think ahead as well as outside the box with meticulous organisational skills.

Strong MS office skills, experience of working in a highly confidential environment and previous experience at this level is required.


Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT) provides good quality, safe and effective healthcare to the people of Cheshire and beyond.

The Trust, which manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford, was established as an NHS Trust in April 1991 and became a Foundation Trust in April 2008.


We employ almost 5,000 members of staff, provide around 540 hospital beds, with a range of services including accident and emergency, maternity, outpatients, therapies, and children's health.


The Trust is also part of Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP), a unique local health partnership that provides a range of community services for people across South Cheshire and Vale Royal.


During the Coronavirus pandemic, the Trust was recognised nationally for its 'Be Safe Be EquiPPEd' campaign, which aimed to make the Trust as safe as possible for staff and patients, through supporting the correct use of PPE.

The results in the 2020 national NHS Staff Survey showed improvements in all elements of the safety culture theme, with 92% of respondents feeling their role made a difference to our patients.

We were also recognised nationally for our workforce health and wellbeing initiatives.

  • Provide cover for the office in order that a seamless service is provided for members of the team during office hours. The post holder will need to be a team player, with strong communication skills.
  • Arrange and service meetings, including hospitality and equipment, ensuring agendas and associated papers are distributed in a timely manner ahead of meetings. Attend meetings as requested, producing accurate and appropriate Minutes and Action Logs and Decision Logs where required within defined timescales and disseminating information as necessary.
  • Type and draft where appropriate, correspondence and other documents as required, checking all typing for accuracy, spelling and grammar before it is sent. Produce letters, memos, draft agendas, minutes, reports, tables, presentations and other documents fully utilising Microsoft Office.
  • Manage the multiple demands of the Coaches/Service Managers/Clinical Leads time and proactively manage diaries by forward planning and organising regular meetings.
  • Develop and continually improve effective information management systems. This includes maintaining an efficient brought forward system to effectively monitor work that has been delegated elsewhere. Progress/chase outstanding items dealing confidently with staff at all levels both internally and externally. Maintain an effective and up-to-date filing system and regularly review old files in line with departmental retention and disposal arrangements.
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with others, both internally and externally in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of services to patients.
  • Be fully conversant with all required electronic systems for correspondence, including specialist computer systems as applicable.
Service Delivery

  • Provide a professional, efficient and comprehensive secretarial and administrative support function to the Coaches, Service Managers and Clinical Leads in a way that is responsive to the needs and contributes to the effectiveness of the office.
  • Represent the Team in a professional manner at all times.
  • Ensure any meeting actions are chased and delivered in a timely manner.
Governance

  • Develop and maintain systems and processes to establish and maintain effective communication, and confidentiality of information.
  • Support the development and maintenance of systems and processes to continually monitor standards, e.g. benchmarking, audit, and implement action plans to improve quality of services.
