Yard Operative

Salary

  • Starting at £24,000 per annum
  • Rising to £28,000 per annum on satisfactory completion of 3month probation period and sign off of Operator training.
ESL Fuels is a family business with its head office at Ellesmere Port.

We design, blend, process and supply a range of fuels for the road, heating and marine markets, with a focus on sustainable products.

We're currently recruiting a Yard Operative to work as part of our Operations team.

The Yard Operative will be responsible for keeping the site clean and tidy, and ensuring that all areas are clear of potential hazards.

The Yard Operative will also provide support to the other operations teams.


Main Duties

  • General yard maintenance, including:
  • Emptying oil sumps and drip trays
  • Jet washing
  • Sorting & tidying tools
  • Disposing of waste
  • Manual handling / lifting
  • General site & office maintenance, including:
  • Weeding
  • Painting
  • Minor fixes and repairs
  • Tidying
  • Assisting other Operations teams as required, including:
  • Sampling and loading fuel trucks
  • Dipping oil tanks
  • Moving hoses and pipework
  • Weighbridge operation
  • Booking deliveries and collections onto Excel worksheets
  • Completing transfer paperwork for drivers

Additional Requirements

  • Full driving license
  • Previous experience with MS Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Forklift licence would be an advantageous, but not essential.

Hours

  • 8 hour shift Monday to Friday, 7am 3pm
  • Provide shift cover for Operator holiday and sickness (shifts cover for 6am2pm & 1pm9pm as required)

£24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
