IQ is looking for a Tax Adviser who will work with the wider tax team to deliver on tax advisory, compliance, accounting and risk management matters across the business.

The role will have responsibility for managing registrations, project deliverables and timelines, online filing of relevant UK tax returns, and interacting with HMRC through the Government Gateways, and telephone/chat functions.


Key role responsibilities:


  • Supporting the Tax Senior Manager and Tax Manager in managing third party professional advisers to complete REIT compliance requirements
  • In house completion and submission of VAT and CIS returns
  • Supporting in the production of information for tax related due diligence (in conjunction with the wider Tax Team)
  • Consideration of ongoing systembased process improvements, partnering with colleagues in the wider business where required
  • Additional tasks including supporting the Tax Team in tax forecasting and modelling, investor compliance, loan compliance, and monitoring and management of tax risks

Skills and experience:


  • Qualified ATT or newly qualified CTA
  • A good knowledge of UK taxes and compliance processes and an awareness of other tax and accounting areas
  • Awareness of other tax jurisdictions used to hold UK real estate
  • Experience in a large/medium accounting firm; or mixed accounting experience
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Experience in using specialist tax software
  • Good knowledge of tax compliance requirements and experience of working with HMRC's systems
**We work a hybrid working model with 3 days per week based at our London office.
