Nursery Nurse required
Full time or part time (we can be flexible with the hours p/w), all year round.
£19,026

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To assist the Nursery Manager to ensure the efficient and effective running of all areas of the Nursery in accordance with high standards of customer service, Nursery policies and procedures, Health and Safety requirements and Equal opportunities.

A fundamental aspect of the role is adherence to safeguarding good practices and ensuring the overall welfare of the children.

To implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to help young children achieve their full potential.
To work as part of a team in caring for all children in their care.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To maintain a welcoming atmosphere where children have the opportunity to explore and develop in a safe environment
Establish and develop a good relationship with parents and carers.
Provide feedback on daily activities.
Undertake regular parent meetings.
Ensure children's individual personal hygiene needs are met.
Ensure consistent methods of behaviour management are implemented as per the Nurseries Promoting Positive Behaviour Policy.
Report any additional needs of Safeguarding concerns to Linder Manager as per the nursery policies and procedures.
To work effectively with external childcare professionals as required.
Responsible for the day-to-day housekeeping and maintenance of nursery equipment.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
A good level of education
A good understanding of children's development
Experience of working with children and in a childcare setting
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in childcare
Demonstrable knowledge of Safeguarding practices and of Special Education Needs.
