Description

We're looking for a Handyperson to join our Facilities Management Team working with us on our Greenwich Care Homes contract.

Within this role working among a great team, taking a proactive approach to continuous improvement and innovation in all aspects of the job.


Location:
Meadows House, Greenwich


Contract:
Permanent - full time, 40 hours per week


Responsibilities
As a Handyperson, you'll be working within the Facilities Management Team supporting them in various areas.

This is a mobile role covering 3 different care homes, providing support with the day-to-day maintenance of the properties and gardens.


Your day to day will include:

  • Carrying out maintenance such as fixing loose carpet, hanging and re-fixing items to walls, patching paintwork, and minor drain blockages among other duties
  • This role will also include maintenance of the gardens, including grass cutting for which appropriate equipment is provided
  • Reporting any defect or breakdown to the helpdesk and recording the instance in the site logbook
  • Carrying out reactive calls and daily inspections of the site as directed, action any issues arising regarding maintenance defects generated from the helpdesk
  • Ensuring that you and site visitors are always adhering to site health and safety procedures

This role of Handyperson is great for you if:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance/ground maintenance role
  • Good communication skills and able to prioritise own workload
  • Full driving license as this is a mobile role for which a van will be provided for travel between sites.
