Job Role:
To support the production of concrete blocks in the Blockyard to Company standards
Key Tasks:
The following reflect the main tasks associated with this position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:
Ø To work under the supervison of the yard supervisor producing concrete blocks
Ø To operate the block mix plant, block production plant, block strapping plant and 8 tonne forklift
Ø To load lorries when required and issue dispatch documentation
Ø To carry out regular routine maintenance on all plant and equipment
Ø To carry out daily inspections and checks in line with Company requirements
Ø To maintain a clean and tidy workplace
Ø To comply with all Company H&S procedures
Ø To provide cover at other depots within the group as required
Ø To undertake any other duties reasonably requested
Ø To drive all mobile plant within the quarry when they are not required in the block yard
Knowledge and Experience
Ø Competency and experience of operating a forklift truck is essential
Ø Previous experience of working in a construction materials manufacturing environment is essential
Ø Ability to work within a team
