We have an excellent opportunity for a flexible and proactive team player to join the busy Estates and Facilities Department as a Plumber.
Location:
Based in Sidmouth, Devon - an area of outstanding natural beauty
Hours:
Full-time. 37.5 hours per week, , Monday-Friday.
Salary:
£33,540 per annum
Contract:
Permanent, starting ASAP

The Role
A time served apprentice and holding a level 2/3 Diploma in plumbing and heating, you will carry out plumbing installations, repairs and planned preventative maintenance throughout the Sanctuary.
Your principal duties and responsibilities will include:
*Maintenance of and repairs and renewals of existing plumbing systems ensuring compliance and business continuity.
*Providing recommendations for new plumbing systems and completing installations once approved.
*Acting as the point of contact for EFM internally, and responsibility for work that includes: *Installation and repairs to underground pipe work systems.
*Installation of central heating systems and repairs.
*Maintaining farm pumped water systems.
*Installation of water saving initiatives.
*Monitoring water usage and identifying possible leaks and carrying out repairs.
*Carrying out planned preventive maintenance and record keeping.
*As part of a team on call duties will be involved covering weekends and evenings.
*Coordinating external suppliers engaged in works at the Donkey Sanctuary.
About You
*Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 (WRAS) approved.
*Excellent communications skills, including experience of communicating and negotiating with external suppliers.
*Highly organised, with experience of working on a variety of projects, including work which is unsupervised.
*Able to multi-task and prioritise working with a number of conflicting demands and timescales.
*Abie to use initiative and problem solve.
