Description

To maintain tidiness, cleanliness and restocking within all clinical and non clinical areas of the Department as identified in Departmental schedule.

To be responsible for completion of the units cleanliness checklist.

To undertake infection control audits on a regular basis, entering these onto electronic databases where required and relaying information to senior nurse team To support the Senior nurse in the delivery of an effective PEAT audit.

To take delegated responsibility for monitoring progress of action plans on behalf of the department reporting concerns to Team Leader/nurse in charge.

To take delegated responsibility that each cubicle is fit for purpose to receive patients.

To include the cleaning of basic equipment, trolleys and lockers for patient use and the preparation of clinical environment in advance of clinical procedures being carried out.
