Description:


Lockton are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, proactive and adaptable individual to join the Logistics team within Facilities, in a very varied manual role including postal support, maintenance and security responsibilities.


Our approachable and hardworking Logistics team are based in London, and enable effective logistics for all of our UK offices.

They manage the set-up of meeting rooms for our clients, the maintenance of our desks, floor electrics and the security of our offices.


This is a great opportunity for an individual interested in logistics and maintenance to work in a varied role with a great team of 3, whilst obtaining training and qualifications to support the performance of their role (PASMA certifications, electrical, workplace safety, manual handling).

This is a full time position based in our City of London office, working 37.5 hours per week.


Role responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Postal Services

  • Support the Logistics Manager daily, and support the costefficient operation of postal services
  • Undertake postal services duties, including scanning incoming post and delivering internally, as required to support the business for our offices
  • Ensure internal post collections and deliveries are conducted on a regular basis
  • Weekly business banking collection and deposits via post, including daily collection of files from offsite
General Maintenance

  • Work proactively on daily basis to ensure general office upkeep and liaise with Logistical Manager and Facilities team, reporting any problems and resolving issue
  • Undertake relocations of power on floors where required, including cutting floor tiles where needed and ensuring that work is finished to a high standard
  • General maintenance of soft furnishings such as blinds, chairs and desk equipment
  • Order stationery for all stationery pods and restock of stationery cupboards
Internal Team Moves

  • Lifting and moving / carrying desks, core IT equipment, desk telephones etc internally, and constructing desks when needed making sure all is working correctly and reporting any patching requirements
Meeting Rooms and Client Suites

  • Undertake the daily setup and preparation of meeting rooms in accordance with requests in a timely manner: lifting, moving and rearranging desks, tables, chairs and equipment
  • Ensure meeting rooms are set back to normal configuration after event
  • Undertake a weekly check of all calendars of the rooms to make sure all room adaptions are adequately manned
Floor Security Integrity

  • Daily check of all core internal doors, making sure all doors are latched securely for the safety and security of colleagues and our building
  • Ensure daily signing of security sheet to record that this has taken place, and send daily summary to Manager
  • Strong work ethic willing to go above and beyond
  • Reliable and dependable prompt, honest, and willing to undertake a wide variety of tasks daily
  • Able to undertake all daily tasks above, and willing to learn new skills
  • Desire to undertake certifications and qualifications relating to manual handling, workplace safety, and electrics
  • Show initiative, eagerness to identify solutions and deliver excellent service
  • GCSEs (or equivalent)
  • Holding a driving license is beneficial, but by no means essential
