Job Overview:

Payroll/HR Administrator Apprentice
The Payroll/HR Apprentice will report directly to the Finance Director. Responsibilities will include ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and HR administration and reporting.

Working hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch.


All employee and payroll information is sensitive and confidential and should not be discussed with anyone else, regardless of their position within or outside of the company without authorisation from company Directors.


Responsibilities:


  • Processing of highvolume weekly payroll
  • Setting up new starters and administration of leavers, change of details and change of contract details.
  • Processing holiday pay.
  • Collation of timesheets from T & A systems.
  • HR administration and reporting (HR KPI's, seasonal worker schemes, absence management etc)
  • Liaison with Finance and Human Resources teams and assisting with any other duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • 5 GCSE's (grades A*C, 49) including English and Mathematics
  • A good knowledge of Excel.
  • A "can do" attitude and an ability to learn new systems.
  • Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Must have own transport due to PDM's location
