Our unsecured lending portfolio is a key growth area for WPB, with plans to significantly grow our credit card and loans business over the next five years.

We are seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Head of Partnerships and Rewards.

This role reports to the Global Head of Unsecured Lending & Partnerships and is an integral part of HSBC's Retail proposition.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead the relationship and commercial management with Visa and Mastercard
  • Manage the relationship, commercial opportunity and development activity with key scale technology partners (e.g. Apple, Samsung, Google)
  • Enhance loyalty offering including rewards, for increased engagement, reduction in attrition and increased commercial outcomes
  • Define, develop and implement a strategic roadmap for developing innovative solutions with partners, developing the IPs, delivering end to end solutions and ensuring that our cost reduction and revenue opportunities are maximized.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Strong experience in unsecured lending and embedded finance within Retail Banking, including risk management
  • Skilled commercial negotiation
  • Experienced in strategy development
  • Experienced in business development and developing and managing partnerships
  • Able to navigate conflicting strategic priorities and decisions
  • Excellent communication skills are critical as well as superior listening / empathy skills given the highly interactive nature of the role and need to achieve buyin at many levels to be successful
The base location for this role is HK or UK. This role will have hybrid working arrangements with 3 days a week in the office.
