The HR Advisor will assist the Head of HR in all aspects of the employee journey with Flint Bishop.

This position will play an integral role in areas such as learning and development, HR systems and processes, and employee relations.

Reporting directly to the Head of HR, this role also works alongside an existing HR Officer.

Role


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to trial and onboard a new HR system for the firm. This involves mapping the market for suitable products, attending demonstration meetings, presenting recommendations to the Head of HR and CEO, and onboarding/updating the system once purchased.
  • Preparing daily attendance records and ensuring any areas of concern are raised with the Head of HR.
  • Conducting facetoface returntowork meetings for all sickness absences. Monitoring any sickness trends and flagging with the Head of HR where required.
  • Preparing a monthly HR scorecard alongside the Head of HR and Head of Recruitment.
  • Administering all exit interviews and preparing monthly figures based on results. Presenting findings to the Head of HR and the wider board on a quarterly basis. Attending followup meetings with leavers where appropriate.
  • Working alongside the Compliance Manager to identify any compliance training requirements across the firm. Allocating further training courses to address knowledge gaps.
  • Working alongside the Head of HR to submit key information to the SRA on an annual basis. This includes diversity data and CPD records for qualified solicitors.
  • Working alongside the Head of HR to obtain Investors in People Gold or Platinum award. Assessments occur every 3 years an annual programme should be implemented to ensure continuous improvement in line with the desired standard.
  • Designing and sending regular pulse surveys. Preparing results presentation to be delivered to the Head of HR and CEO. Attending followup action meetings with individual HODs.
  • Spotchecking employee files regularly including starter and leaver checklists.
  • Designing all new starter induction plans with the Head of HR. Attending introduction meetings as required.
  • Assisting the Head of HR and Head of Marketing in designing new induction training for all new starters. Present as required.
  • Assisting the Head of HR with the annual PDP process. This includes designing PDP forms, ensuring proper completion, and scheduling onetoone meetings across the firm. Ensuring any agreed actions are followed up within each department.
  • Attending Social Committee and CSR Group meetings as an HR representative.
  • Conducting ad hoc market mapping exercises as required. This includes competitor analysis for salaries and wider benefits. Presenting findings to the Head of HR and CEO.
  • Attending maternity and paternity meetings as required. Conducting risk assessments and ensuring keeping in touch checkpoints throughout absence.
  • Taking ownership of the apprenticeship levy on behalf of the firm. Making recommendations on the use of the levy to present to the Head of HR and CEO.
  • Assisting with all other general HR duties as required by the Head of HR.

You will:

  • Have at least 12 months of experience in an HR advisor role.
  • Be able to evidence project management in areas such as learning and development and employee relations.
  • Be an adept problem solver.
  • Be an excellent communicator, able to handle crucial conversations at all levels within a business.
  • Ideally have HR experience within the professional services sector.
  • Disclosure will be required in the event that a position is offered._
