Accounts Clerk

Bridgwater - Somerset

Salary up to £30,000


CV Screen is recruiting for an Accounts Clerk, you will play a crucial role in our clients organization, supporting the financial operations and providing valuable assistance to our clients.

With your exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical skills, you will be responsible for a range of duties, including:


  • Preparing sole trader and partnership accounts from source records
  • Compiling limited company statutory financial statements from source records
  • Handling VAT returns and ensuring accurate submissions
  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
  • Conducting various bookkeeping tasks, such as sales and purchase ledger maintenance, as well as bank reconciliation


In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients across different industry sectors, allowing you to develop a broad understanding of various business operations.

To excel in this position, we require individuals with the following experience and skills:

  • Proven experience within an accountancy practice environment
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as IRIS, Sage, and QuickBooks (training provided)
While a formal accountancy qualification is not mandatory, we value relevant practical experience and dedication to professional growth.
