Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering their academic and personal growth.
- Assist in the implementation of tailored educational plans and strategies, ensuring each students unique requirements are met.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and other support staff to create inclusive learning environments that promote student engagement and success.
- Support students in developing essential literacy, numeracy and social skills through targeted interventions and activities.
- Adapt learning materials and resources to accommodate students' varying abilities and learning styles.
- Encourage positive behaviour and reinforce classroom expectations, promoting a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, particularly in educational setting, is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues and families.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and the school community.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, child care, or related fields are advantageous but not essential.
