We are currently looking for a Deposit and End of Tenancy Manager to join our London based Property Management Hub.

Key Responsibilities of a Deposit & End of Tenancy Manager:

  • Make contact with landlord and tenant at the beginning of the checkout process.
  • Review checkout report, assess if quotes are required, or if compensatory amounts are to apply. Obtain "desktop" quotes from contractors for issues such as cleaning or minor repairs using information from the checkout report.
  • Prepare a Schedule of Damages for the attention of the Landlord.
  • Deal with any queries raised by the Landlord.
  • Obtain confirmation of agreement to proposed deductions from Landlord
  • Provide advice to Landlords on appropriate deductions and compensatory amounts.
  • Provide Landlords with information and guidance on how TDS operate and adjudicate.
  • Keep Tenants regularly updated.
  • Negotiate with Tenants on deductions proposed.
  • Liaise with Property Managers concerning quotes obtained in order to establish relevant costs.
  • Liaise with local branches
  • Following set procedure to release deposits, checking bank details and obtaining and attaching Landlord and tenant signatures.
  • Ensure that TDS deadlines are adhered to and fees are collected from Landlords for TDS cases raised.
  • Provide support to the team.

Skills & Experience Required to be a successful Deposit & End of Tenancy Manager:

  • Property Management experience preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Articulate, well organised and with good time management skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Show persistence in resolving issues.
  • Show initiative and good communication skills to avoid disputes and negotiate difficult situations.
  • Remain calm, patient and professional during what could be difficult negotiations.
  • Ability to be persuasive and persistent
  • A working knowledge and understanding of life span, expectancy and depreciation of fixtures and fittings
  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to develop strong relationships externally and internally with key stakeholders
