An exciting opportunity has arisen at Weston General Hospital for a recruitment lead to ensure we get the right nurses with the right skills working in our Hospital.

We are looking for a leader who is enthusiastic about recruitment whilst also addressing issues around retention.

To produce a quarterly reports to monitor and demonstrate strategies in Nursing activities division wide.

Develop Divisional strategic plan to accomplish ongoing recruitment through, for e.g. Open days, attendance at relevant job fairs, attendance at Trust recruitment meetings, outward facing promotional networking ideas


Chairing of biannual workshops alongside Deputy Director of Nursing (DDoN), with ward Sisters and Matrons in order to be aware of recruitment issues/concerns, as well as having opportunities to develop ideas from the wider Senior Nursing Team.


The need to be visible and be accessible for ward staff to come to with ideas, suggestions and be out talking to staff about what made them come/stay/want to move on.


Lead in the development of a Nursing strategy capturing the future direction of the medical division locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.

Be a point of contact for external organisations who wish to explore collaborative working relationships with the Nursing workforce.

Report to the DDON with all matters related to recruitment, retention and well-being.

To be innovative and creative about what we should do differently.
