The Community Fundraiser will work with the Head of Fundraising to maximise income generation by developing and implementing a plan to help 'Our Charity' and Love Musgrove gain more supporters and energise community fundraising across the West of Somerset to deliver annual and capital fundraising targets.

This is a new role within a small but successful fundraising team and requires someone with a broad range of skills.

The role involves working with the general public, hospital staff and a wide range of community organisations and companies and will include meeting potential supporters across the East of the County mainly covering:

Frome
Crewkerne
Wincanton
Ilminster
Chard
Wells
Cheddar
Bruton
Shepton Mallet
Yeovil

It will also include meeting potential supporters and attending events during the evenings and weekends.

This is a hybrid role which means working from Musgrove Park Hospital when required with an opportunity to work in other NHS locations and some home working.

You will need to live locally so that you can easily travel throughout the catchment area.

We fund things above and beyond what the NHS covers, so we can continue to improve the experiences of patients admitted to hospital as well as providing state of the art equipment.

We help to create a comfortable, engaging environment for patients that also supports their family and friends.
