Description

We are looking for an extremely motivated Trainee Workshop Engineer to support our expanding business and complement our friendly workshop team.

You will be trained to carry out accurate and skilful services and repairs on arcade machines while detecting,diagnosing and recording additional faults.

You will ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard of workmanship to achieve the customers satisfaction and expectations.

This involves transporting machines and assembling them by using meters, electrical parts, hand tools and soldering irons.

Arcade game technicians use manuals and wiring diagrams to keep machines in proper order and carry out various diagnostic tests.

Youwill need to be able to readily identify the most common problems with components like controls and audio systems.


Job Description:


  • Refurbish, upgrade, service and install the full range of Sega Amusement machines according to specification, to a high standard and on time.
  • Duties to include diagnosing and repairing equipment faults, servicing and maintaining equipment, stock management and ensuring all required documentation is complete in full and up to date.
  • Provision of customer satisfaction through good workmanship and attitude and be always polite and professional.
  • Load and unload machines from a variety of vehicles sizes in and out of the warehouse in accordance with H&S guidelines
  • Order parts and inform the spares department if parts are not suitable.
  • Ensure the workshop area is kept clean, safe and tidy.


You do not have to have any experience in the arcade industry but must be keen and able to learn.

Some experience using hand tools would be beneficial.

Working with our highly skilled Engineers you will be trained to a standard where you will be responsiblefor completing your work on time, to specification and to the highest quality.

As a member of the team, you will also assist in ad hoc workshop tasks including tidying, moving and stocking up on materials.

You are responsible for your own health and safetyand of your colleagues.

Required Keys and Experience

  • A Level 3 NVQ Diploma or other qualification in Engineering or similar.
  • An enthusiasm for arcade machines, willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Hard working and reliable with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Quality focused with good levels of concentration.
  • Possessing a good work ethic and motivation.
  • Takes a safety conscious approach to work with an understanding of the safe use of woodworking machinery, hand and air tools.
  • Physically fit and ability to carry out a significant amount of manual handling
