We are recruiting for a compassionate Support Worker to provide dedicated support to a young man with Cerebral Palsy. Our client is a passionate rugby league fan who enjoys attending gigs and outings with his support team.

As a wheelchair user, he communicates through a talker using a head switch and requires assistance with all aspects of personal care.


Roles and responsibilities:


  • Support the client with personal care, mobility, and daily activities
  • Accompany the client to rugby league games, gigs, and various outings
  • Utilize the client's communication tools effectively to ensure understanding and engagement
  • Demonstrate a positive and caring attitude, promoting a comfortable and encouraging environment
  • Embrace new experiences and activities to enrich the client's quality of life
  • Transporting the client in his fully adapted, automatic vehicle
  • Light cleaning duties
  • Medication administration
  • PEG feeding
  • Keeping accurate notes and records
Full training is provided


Shift Times:


  • Monday: 4:30pm until 8:30pm
  • Wednesday: 4:30pm until 9:00pm
  • Thursday: 4:30pm until 9:00pm
13 hours per week


Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Previous experience in caregiving, especially with adults having complex needs
  • A commitment to providing exceptional care with responsibility and dedication
  • Enthusiasm for engaging in the client's interests and activities
  • Flexibility to cover shifts for sickness, absence, overnight stays, gigs, and events
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to various situations

Rate of pay:


  • Rate of pay: £15 per hour
